ISIS, Paris Attacks & Europe’s Migrant Crisis with Syrian Refugee Aboud Dandachi

vor 3 Jahren

The growing threat of ISIS, the recent wave of terror attacks in Paris that left almost 130 people dead and the ongoing migrant crisis in Europe are looked at with Syrian refugee, blogger, and activist Aboud Dandachi. Dandachi recounts his journey across the Middle East and explains what caused him to flee Syria’s war torn city of Homs and the extremists of ISIS to become an activist in Istanbul, where he currently resides. Dandachi also breaks down some of the problems with Europe’s refugee policy, and discusses the rise of extremism in Europe, the appeal of modern jihadism, and more in this uncensored Lip News interview hosted by Philippe Assouline.

Aboud Dandachi is a displaced Syrian from Homs, currently in Istanbul. Aboud is a regular contributor to Israel’s i24 News and has been published, interviewed and cited on Syrian issues in numerous outlets, including the BBC, NPR and the Israeli and Turkish press. Aboud is the author of the ebook “The Doctor, the Eye Doctor and Me: Analogies and Parallels Between the World of Doctor Who and the Syrian Conflict”.
